You have all the right elements to make your social pages successful, but yet you are not getting the desired results? Various elements work together to make a Fan page a hit but there is no perfect formula for success. Let us run through some basic elements that can help you to achieve the desirable results for your business fan page.

One can have different goals for creating a fan page, for some a social media page would facilitate an increase ease in client interaction and for others, it might be just to increase their visibility. The success of a social media page can be measured in numerous ways: the traffic it attracts, the number of likes/ shares/ re-tweets it has or the amount of business the page directs to your main line. But it is also important to think about the impact the fan page has on its followers?

Many companies give incentives and freebies for signing up and liking fan pages. These incentives attract more and more people to become fans and follow the fan page. In fact, this has become the industry norm as more and more new companies are regularly resorting to incentives and competitions to attract a sizable portion of the target audience. But is this a right tactic to indulge in? Just creating a social media page and attracting users is not enough, the next important activity is to maintain a brand loyalty and visibility among the fans.

Making a fan page and not interacting with customers regularly can create a negative image in the minds of the customer. One should be very active on its fan page, it’s like offering a good customer service and a good after sales service. It is quite amazing to note that a lot of customers will leave wall posts on your Facebook page, and you should aim to answer all of them in the minimum possible time. An unanswered wall post gives other visitors the impression that you don’t care about your customers. Always remember a social media page is public. A business that offers quick responses will have a direct impact on customer loyalty.

When you create a fan page you will have to get everything from praise, requests, demands, complaints, and sometimes threats too. Fan page should be managed by an efficient team that is ready to cater to all types of wall post, even the discouraging ones. ‘Like’ the encouraging posts and handle the discouraging ones with respect and reasoning.

Make sure that your social media pages are connected to your business’s website as well as the other social media channels. If you sell online, then ideally the pages can be connected to an e-commerce store. This can give a huge boost to your business as you will be able to reach and capture many more customers.

Social Media pages allow organizations to think out-of-the-box so that they are able to create interesting wall posts and engaging activities to keep the user hooked. A successful social media page can enhance your business and your online presence immensely. For this, a social media page should have a stimulating page-relevant status update that is able to arouse the interest of the users. The social media pages should ideally have a distinct voice that allows them to have a unique identity and stand apart from the crowd. However, the brand identity must be kept in sync and social media pages should be the consistent part of your online presence.

In the end, always measure and keep a tap on what’s working well for your social media pages. Eye the most shared/ commented/ viewed/ liked/ re-tweeted posts which have managed to create interest. Insights on Facebook allow you to see the overall traffic of your fan page, and you can see where your Likes are coming from. Google Analytics can also help you to see how many visits have been directed from social media sites to your page.

Social Media Pages can help you reach the targeted audience at a fraction of the cost. Most of the organizations have understood the value of social media marketing but they are still trying to pave the right path to get excellent results. It is a tricky path as what might work for you might not work for anyone else. Social media is all about popularity; you just have to generate the right spark and maybe we can help you generate it…. Right now just work on the basics – and be ready for the next step.
